Web8 feb. 2024 · With a decent angle there’s a healthy amount of down tension on the roller saddle to keep the string in place. If your saddles end up sitting lower (flatter) then the string can start to hit the intonation lock bolt or jump out when played. The only way to adjust this is to change the angle of your neck with a shim . (Image credit: Jack Ellis) Web31 okt. 2024 · Just have the holes parallel to the nut like I do, and then pull the strings through but leave the tiniest amount of play in the string....then lock the nut, cut the extra string off and tune up. And modern locking tuners...even the ones on the 95 Deluxe Plus model only had one hole to run the string through...if I'm not mistaken.
